My aversion to blogging

So in general I'm not a huge fan of blogging as a great deal of it feels phony, trite and self aggrandizing.  I'm going to try and avoid that in in my blog (all of that material will find its place on my Facebook page!) by posting things that will interest people i care about residing in far away places.  So, here is my blog.
